Ronaldo Miss Out On Top 50: Ranking Of The 100 Best Players Of 2022, Messi On Top
The top 100 male footballers of 2022 have been ranked – and Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t even make the top 50.
Ronaldo’s career went badly off course after the game ended Manchester United’s 2021/22 season and the 37-year-old has rarely delivered on the pitch since then.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner spent much of the summer planning a departure from Old Trafford but drew little interest from clubs across Europe.
While Ronaldo’s career has stalled badly, his eternal rival is Lionel Messi went from strength to strength and was eventually ranked by as the best player in the world The Guardians Jury of 206 judges.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is a whopping 50 places behind the Paris Saint-Germain superstar and sits at the bottom in 51st place. He was eighth in the 2021 list – showing how far his standing has fallen.
