Ex- Barca President Joan Laporta officially announces interest to re-run for the presidential seat

Laporta will present his campaign on Monday, November 30.

Joan Laporta will run for the Barcelona presidency, his campaign manager Lluis Carrasco has confirmed on Twitter.

Carrasco wrote: "7 pre-candidates, 1 president. If you want Barca to be Barca again, Laporta arrives with the strength and backing of our history. It's a privilege to run you campaign."

Laporta will reveal more about his campaign in the official presentation scheduled for on Monday, November 30.

The presidential elections are expected to take place on January 24.

He was in charge between 2003 and 2010, responsible for Ronaldinho's transfer and Pep Guardiola's appointment.

Laporta unsuccessfully ran for the presidency in 2015 when Josep Maria Bartomeu ended up winning the office.
